“What good is sitting alone in your room? Come hear the music play. Life is a cabaret, old chum, come to the cabaret.” sings Sally Bowles in Kander and Ebb’s award winning musical Cabaret. From the opening notes of “Wilkommen” to the lilting refrains of “Tomorrow Belongs to Me”, Cabaret takes the audience back to the decadent days of Berlin in the 1920’s. A boy who wants to be a writer meets a bohemian girl who wants to be a star while the world is falling apart around them. Cabaret ran for over 3878 performances on Broadway and became an iconic film with Liza Minelli. See it in all of its glory as CPCC Theatre presents this classic American musical on the beautiful Halton stage.
